## Caption

#TBT to 2008 when Melissa Humana-Paredes and Victoria Altomare won gold at the #18U #Beachnats… they went on to win the first ever medal on the female side for Canada at FIVB U21 World Championships in 2011 – a silver.
Now Mel and sarah_pavan are 2nd in the WORLD rankings after a phenomenal debut season as a team. 
Other “new” teams have also made their mark in 2017 with heatherbansley & bvuilleumier currently at 11th and samschachter & pedlowsamuel at 10th - the highest ranked Canadian men's team #fivbworldtour #throwback vcnationals
