#TSRUpdatez: Ohkay! #DonLemon has pleaded not guilty in a Minnesota federal court after being indicted in connection with a protest that disrupted a church service amid the Trump administration’s immigration crackdown.

As we previously reported, Lemon was arrested last month during Grammy weekend in Los Angeles after a federal grand jury charged him and several others over a demonstration at Cities Church in St. Paul.
Prosecutors allege the group conspired to violate religious freedoms and interfered with worshippers during the service.

However, Lemon and his legal team say he was there strictly in his role as a journalist, livestreaming the protest and interviewing participants, not participating in it. He appeared in court alongside four other defendants, including civil rights attorney Nekima Levy Armstrong. Authorities claim the protest intimidated congregants and disrupted worship, while Lemon’s team argues the case raises serious First Amendment concerns.
