it was world vegan day a few days ago & I although don’t often talk about being vegan here, but it’s been a really strong thread through my life for the last 7 years. 🌱
I went vegan at 18 because I finally connected the dots that the food on my plate were the animals I loved. I didn’t want to contribute to the suffering and slaughter of animals, and I found a way to exist without causing that harm.
it was only after going vegan that I realized HOW much better I felt, how much faster I was recovering, how much less inflammation was in my body. since then I have THRIVED - with my morals and actions aligned I feel healthier than ever. being vegan is something that makes me different to a lot of other people & that can be hard sometimes, but man every time I see a cow running with joy🐄 or a pig playing with her friend🐖 or a chicken loving cuddles🐓, I am so absolutely certain that animals are friends not food. #veganforlife
