In 2015, 13-year-old Hazel Homer-Wambeam @@hazel_avivah interviewed 92-year-old Mr. Lee over the phone for a school project.

The fact that Stan took time out of his day for this interview speaks to both his dedication to his fans and his ongoing mission to promote literacy and education. Stan's remarkable level of kindness and generosity can be witnessed through this audio.

Years later, Hazel was inspired to continue her research on the history of Stan Lee through her senior year of college by serving as the lead curator of the exhibit "Stan Lee: Beyond the Book" at the American Heritage Center. Today, Hazel works for Kartoon Studios as the Brand Manager of the Stan Lee Universe, striving every day to preserve Stan's legacy and keep his memory alive.
