#HappyFoundersDay to everyone who makes up our beautiful Morehouse College community. Today, we celebrate the founding of Morehouse College, established in 1867 with a bold vision to educate formerly enslaved men and prepare them for lives of leadership and service. What began as the Augusta Institute has grown into a global brotherhood rooted in scholarship, character, and purpose.

For 159 years, Morehouse has shaped leaders who move the world forward while remaining grounded in service beyond self. Founder’s Day is a reminder of the faith and sacrifice that built this institution and the responsibility we carry to continue its legacy.

To every student, alumnus, faculty and staff member, parent, and friend of the College: thank you for being part of the House.
