From The Very Hungry Caterpillar to Harry Potter, from Quitting Crayons to Taco Loving Dinos, we had Waldo, we had dwarfs, princesses, and wizards — this week’s Read-a-Palooza in the Lower Division was a full celebration of stories and imagination.

Students (and STAFF!) arrived dressed as their favorite characters from across the literary world, classrooms welcomed mystery readers, DEAR time filled classrooms with focused reading, and creativity was abound. We even spotted plenty of athletes roaming the halls — we’re assuming they’ve been reading the Nikola Jokić biography.

It was a day where books came to life and reading was celebrated exactly as it should be: joyfully, creatively, and together.

A GIANT Shabbat Shout Out to our Lower Division students and faculty for a wildly successful Read-a-Palooza and for reminding us that every great story starts with opening a book.
