There is something incredibly special about finding your people. 🌟

We are incredibly proud of our girl, Sam.  She was recently invited to participate in an intimate gathering designed specifically for people with facial differences and disabilities. The purpose? To connect, celebrate, and to allow a group of incredibly talented photographers to capture the beauty and strength in that room. 

It was more than a photo shoot; it was a masterclass  in joy. 

Sam who already navigates the world as a young woman with Down syndrome, also has a prosthetic eye. It’s a part of her story, but it’s rarely something she gets to see reflected in the world around her. They are few and far between. 

But at this event, something magical happened. She met another model. A woman who, like Sam, also has a prosthetic eye (Chelsea actually has a collection of fun eyes!). 

Seeing them together was really meaningful. Chelsea showed Sam her collection of eyes of all different designs. In a world where sometimes Sam can sometimes feel like she is the only one, she found a (much taller) mirror. 

The entire event was uplifting, not just for Sam, but for everyone involved. It was a powerful reminder that our perceived “differences” are the very things that connect us most deeply. 

Thank you to the organizers (Sue Bryce and Paige Billiot) and the amazing photographers who created a safe, empowering, and beautiful space. You reminded everyone in that room that they are not just seen, but they are a work of art. 

Shine on Sam. You and your new friends are a masterpiece.
