Robert Irwin gave attendees of the Laneway Music Festival a huge surprise when he came out as Role Model’s ‘Sally’ for his performance.

At the Perth stop on 15 February during Laneway Festival’s tour, American singer-songwriter Role Model was playing his hit song ‘Sally, When the Wine Runs Out,’ when he called out, asking “Where’s my Sally tonight?”

Much to the delight of fans, Australian conservationist Robert Irwin ran out to join Role Model as Perth’s ‘Sally,’ dancing, singing along, and even doing the worm on stage.

Role Model is known to bring out special guests to be his ‘Sally’ during performances, and Irwin is the latest addition to a group featuring stars such as Natalie Portman, Olivia Rodrigo, Kate Hudson, Reneé Rapp, Charli XCX and Niall Horan.
