## Caption

Took me about 6 hours to decorate this soccer cake (with breaks of course) for my sons birthday! I underestimated how hard it would be because looked like such a simple design. But my first difficulty was making the shapes all match specially on the side of the cake. The top was actually easy compared to the sides. Pointillism really is a hard technique! Props to thepetitepudding because this is not easy on the wrists lol 😆 but my son Lucas loved the results (even though he didn’t eat the cake cause as you know he is not much into sweets 🤦🏻‍♀️😂)
I didn’t use any food coloring just used black cocoa powder for the frosting and I needed a loooot of it. I ended up adding melted chocolate to the buttercream because the taste of the black cocoa was becoming too strong for me. Overall this was a super fun soccer cake to make!
Initially he wanted a jack skellington cake right in the middle of spring 😂😂😂 but changed his mind just a couple of days before I made the cake for his party. I was so happy when he chose a soccer themed cake! ⚽️
