SHOP SCAM: Police say a Bloomingdale auto shop employee was arrested for unlawfully selling a customer’s car to a scrap yard, where it was later crushed. 

Investigators say 49-year-old Maribel Pena-Matos of Paterson impersonated the vehicle’s owner and sold it for cash after the customer was unable to retrieve the car for months. She is charged with impersonation and motor vehicle theft.
