In 1982, Luisa prepared to receive her associate's degree, but her name was not called at the ceremony, so she did not walk the stage to receive her degree. Her husband offered to walk with her, but she refused. In those days, the school's record-keeping system was inconsistent, and Luisa did not know how to follow up. 

However, after 41 years, in 2023, she finally received her Associates of Arts and Sciences degree, with the help of her children reaching out to the university.

We are incredibly happy that she finally had the opportunity walk the stage and be recognized for her dedication and hard work! ❤️🥹
