On November 17, 2012, West Virginia head coach Dana Holgorsen decided to move his star receiver, Tavon Austin, to running back for the first time in his college career. The result was a performance so dominant it looked like someone had turned the "Speed" slider to 100 in Madden. Facing #12 Oklahoma on a cold night in Morgantown, Tavon didn't just play; he evaporated defenders.

As of February 18, 2026, this game remains the gold standard for "all-purpose" dominance. Tavon officially retired from the NFL in August 2024 after a decade-long career and recently made headlines in December 2025 when he returned to Morgantown to officially graduate from West Virginia University. While he may have hung up the cleats, his 2012 highlight tape against the Sooners is still mandatory viewing for every aspiring "slot-god" in the country.
