Mikaela Shiffrin is an Olympic gold medalist once again, finishing the slalom with a total time of 1:39.10 — 1.5 seconds ahead of silver medalist Camille Rast of Switzerland.

1.5 seconds may not seem like much, but if you crunch the numbers, it’s a pretty large margin. The winning margin between first and second place at the last 7 Olympics in women’s slalom COMBINED was 1.51 seconds!
