Here’s what Theta means to Josie:
“Being a part of Theta has been one of my most meaningful experiences at college, especially being Vice President this year. Being away from home for the first time, not having sisters, and coming from a small all-girl high school I knew I wanted to find the sisterhood I always had. Going through recruitment two years ago, on a whim, was one of the best decisions I have made. Theta has always symbolized home for me, and a familiar sense of belonging. I knew that being an active member in this chapter would benefit me, but did not know how much it would change me. I can confidently say I have met my forever best friends and am the best version of myself because of Theta. One of my most prideful takeaways from this experience was meeting my admirable big, Caitlin. I walked through the doors of Theta on scholarship round and met Caitlin, from that moment on I knew not only was Theta home but so was she. Interestingly enough, a year later I met my little, Ashley, the same exact way. This isn’t a coincidence or an experience that everyone has. It is a testament to how genuine, and selfless the women in Theta are. Not a day goes by where I am not so thankful for my decision two years ago. My why theta will never just be one specific moment, because time and time again, it proves to me that choosing Theta will be the best decision I could have made.”
