The Bay Lights return to the western span of the San Francisco–Oakland Bay Bridge with a Grand Lighting on Friday, March 20, 2026. 

Presented by arts nonprofit IlluminateTheArts and created by artist leo_villareal_studio, this iconic light art installation has been rebuilt from the ground up with 48,000 custom LEDs designed to shine beautifully for years to come.

More than a return, this is a new chapter. A celebration of creativity at city scale. A reminder that wonder belongs in public spaces.
