@jaredgoff & @jasoncabinda bring up a great point here ⬆️ Football media does a great job with daily or weekly narratives. They have a tough time with five, three, or even one year storylines. 

Jared was going into his sixth season last year, but it was his first in a new offense that changed when Ben Johson got a hold of it. Evaluating how he'll be as a Lion from week to week performance didn't make sense. We need a bigger picture.

The reason I’m so optimistic about the Lions offense was their marked improve throughout the season and into this spring. A great quarterback and great players like Jared and Jason locked in for their second year in the same system? There’s a 12 month trajectory there I’m betting on.
