## Caption

Makena’s medical journey started when she was diagnosed with a nervous system disorder at a year and a half old. At her worst, she was facing over 100 terrifying seizures a day, making it nearly impossible for her to enjoy the simple joys of childhood. 

After years of struggle, including medication trials, two major brain surgeries and paralysis on her left side, Makena showed incredible resilience. While recovering in the hospital, her nurse referred her for a wish, a beacon of hope for her family during their toughest days.

Makena wished to experience the calgarystampede: the parade, the Grandstand Show, fireworks, rides, and even a Dean Brody concert 🤠. 

For the first time, her family enjoyed a trip full of joy, late nights, and zero naps, leaving the stress of hospitals behind. That’s the healing power of a wish. 💙 ✨
