On CBS Mornings, the ‘Lizzie McGuire’ star confirmed that the track “We Don’t Talk” was inspired by their distance, saying, “The most lonely part of my existence is not having my sister in my life at the moment.” 

Hilary told the outlet she struggled with whether to share something so personal but ultimately put the song on the record because “it’s my truth.”

The song’s lyrics underscore that pain, with lines like “We come from the same home, same blood… We don’t talk, we don’t talk about it / We don’t talk about anything anymore,” capturing the emotional disconnect fans have speculated about for years.

Hilary said she doesn’t know how Haylie will react, but she wanted to be honest and open about what the experience has meant to her. “I hope that for everyone that is where I’m sitting. You have to do what you want to do, and you have to do what feels good for you.” ❤️
