This week, Bow Seat led four one-hour workshops with the amazing youth at the Boys and Girls Club of Dorchester 🐟

Participants ages 5-12 explored the traditional Japanese art of gyotaku, creating fish prints using silicone molds, sumi ink, and rice paper. Originally developed by fishermen to record their catches, gyotaku transforms the beauty of marine life into striking works of art 🐟

Each reveal was met with excitement and pride. It was inspiring to see young artists connect creativity with ocean appreciation while building meaningful bonds with the natural world through their prints.
