createaplatewithdina These STEAK BITES with Caramelized Onion Cream Sauce makes the perfect easy steak dinner. The steak bites are seared until golden and served over mashed potatoes with the most flavorful creamy onion sauce. This is one of my favorite comfort food dinners when I want something simple but really good.

Save this dinner for next time you’re craving steak!

Ingredients

For the steak bites:
• 2 lbs steak (New York strip, sirloin, ribeye, or your favorite cut), cut into bite-size cubes
• 1 tbsp olive oil
• 1 tsp garlic powder
• 1 tsp smoked paprika
• 1½ tsp salt
• 1 tsp black pepper

For the caramelized onion cream sauce:
• 3 tbsp butter
• 2 medium onions, thinly sliced
• 3–4 garlic cloves, minced
• 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
• 1 tsp balsamic vinegar
• ½ tsp salt
• ½ cup beef broth
• 1 cup heavy cream
• Black pepper, to taste
• Optional: fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions
	1.	Pat the steak dry with paper towels. Season with garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
	2.	Heat olive oil in a large skillet or cast-iron pan over medium-high heat. Add the steak bites in a single layer and sear for about 2 minutes per side until browned and caramelized. Work in batches if needed. Remove and set aside.
	3.	In the same skillet, add butter and sliced onions. Cook over medium heat for 12–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until soft, golden, and caramelized.
	4.	Stir in garlic, Worcestershire sauce, balsamic vinegar, and salt. Cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
	5.	Pour in beef broth and scrape up all the flavorful browned bits from the pan. Add heavy cream and let simmer for 3–5 minutes until the sauce thickens.
	6.	Taste and adjust salt and pepper as needed.
	7.	Serve the steak bites over mashed potatoes, rice, or pasta and spoon the caramelized onion cream sauce over the top. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
