If you’re a Shortie like me (i’m only 5’0”) here’s the main four things that I avoid which help me to look taller: 

1. Wearing oversized on top & bottom- it’s too overwhelming for my petite frame and can hide my proportions.
2. Not defining my waist- adding a thin belt, tucking my top into high waisted pants, or using a crop tuck help to make a big difference in a long getting my legs
3. Round toe or chunky shoes- I prefer pointed toe or nude styles to extend my leg line! Bonus points if it’s nude AND pointed! 
4. Thick horizontal lines- they visually cut me in half so I prefer wearing vertical lines or monochromatic look!

I also believe that if you love an outfit- wear it!! Confidence will always make you look better than any “rule” ever could. So if you feel good in your outfit, then you look good in it, too!
