The Student Government Association (SGA) celebrated its 105-year anniversary by announcing the new SGA scholarship at its Masquerade in Maroon and Gold event on Monday. ⁠

Student Body President Akua Achaempong said the scholarship is intended to encourage involvement in student leadership on campus. ⁠
⁠
Student Body Vice President Kathryn House said she is working to get the scholarship solidified into the SGA's constitution and bylaws so it will become a lasting part of SGA's legacy. ⁠
