The Jamaica Public Service (JPS) has officially launched its Emergency Mobile Power Generator in Bethel Town, Westmoreland — the third unit rolled out across the hurricane-battered parishes of St. Elizabeth and Westmoreland.

The milestone event brought together key stakeholders including JPS President and CEO Hugh Grant, Member of Parliament Dayton Campbell, and Mayor of Savanna-la-Mar Danree Delancy, along with several other officials, all on location to commemorate the significant occasion.

The deployment of the mobile generator will provide critical access to electricity for residents while permanent JPS infrastructure in the area is being efficiently rebuilt — restoring not just power, but a sense of stability and normalcy to affected communities.
