Next up in our #SeniorSaturday spotlight is Alex Smith! A dedicated student-athlete, Alex is set to continue his academic and athletic career at St. Joseph’s University this fall. Over the years, he’s embraced every part of the experience—on the field and in the classroom—building strong bonds with his teammates and making memories that will last well beyond graduation. 𝗡𝗮𝗺𝗲/𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺: Alex Smith, U18/Union II

𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: St. Joseph’s University

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗬𝗦𝗖?
The thing I’ll miss most is being in school with all of my friends. Being able to train with them, then go right over to school with them has been really special. Another thing I’ll miss is playing imposter in the upstairs space.

𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻:
Advice I have for the next generation is don’t procrastinate on your school work! It will eventually catch up to you, so make sure you focus and get it done. On the soccer side. I would say just listen to the people around you and be as coachable as you can.

From the classroom to the pitch, Alex has made the most of every moment—forming lifelong friendships, embracing the daily grind, and leaving his mark on YSC and the philaunion_academy ⚽️ 
As he prepares to head to college, we’re incredibly proud of the leader, teammate, and student he’s become. The future is bright for Alex, and we can’t wait to see all he accomplishes in this next chapter. 🎓
