At nine years old, Kayla Norsworthy bought two packs of 2013 Topps from Target and one Manny Machado rookie changed everything. In this episode of I Collect, Kayla walks us through the baseball cards that built her journey. From Tampa Bay Rays memories with her dad, to her deeply personal Austin Hays collection, even Olympics cards, to grails that represent how far she’s come, every card in her PC holds a story.
But this isn’t just about baseball cards. It’s about identity, confidence, grief, community, and choosing joy. After losing her father, card collecting became more intentional less about value and more about memory. Today, Kayla uses her voice to create space for women and young collectors in the hobby, reminding everyone that there’s no “right” way to collect.
