Boosie shared a video calling upon Attorney #BenCrump for assistance after the Louisiana Attorney General’s Office filed a motion to compel him to respond regarding the use of the name #CalebWilson. Wilson was a Southern University student who tragically passed away during a fraternity hazing incident last year.

Following Caleb’s death, Boosie announced the establishment of the Caleb Wilson Memorial Scholarship last March during his sixth annual Boosie Bash, a music festival held on the college campus.

A spokesperson for Attorney General Liz Murrill stated that neither Wilson’s parents nor Southern University authorized the use of his name or image in connection with the festival. Her office has requested the removal of his name and any reference to the scholarship from promotional materials. In an interview last year, Murrill mentioned that Boosie contacted the family about creating a scholarship and received their approval. However, she clarified that the family was not informed that the scholarship would be associated with the festival. According to a representative from the Attorney General’s office, Boosie has not responded to a civil investigative demand amid speculation that he may have violated Louisiana’s consumer protection laws.
