Ami Nakai * WAIT WHAT?!

POV, you just realised to you won  a Bronze Medal at 17. With first Qualifying top of the table after the short program of the Olympic women’s figure skating competition. Going into the final there was a sight of an upset. But after her incredible performance in the final, it took a while for her to realise she placed 3rd. The delayed reaction went viral and was indeed a very wholesome moment. I wanted to capture this little story and create a design around it.

POV、あなたは17歳で銅メダルを獲得したことに気づいたばかりだ。オリンピック女子フィギュアスケート競技のショートプログラム終了後、予選1位でトップに立っていた。決勝では番狂わせの兆しが見えた。しかし決勝での驚異的な演技の後、自分が3位になったと理解するのに少し時間がかかった。その遅れた反応は瞬く間に拡散し、まさに心温まる瞬間となった。この小さな物語を捉え、それを基にデザインを創りたかった。
