Join us for our Decoding Ballet workshop with faculty member Annastasia Mercedes! ⁠The workshop meets once a week on Tuesdays from 7:00pm-8:30pm at the Joffrey Ballet School Manhattan studios. This 5 Week session starts April 14th 2026 - May 12th 2026. ⁠

This beginner-level workshop is designed for adults with foundational ballet experience who are ready to deepen their understanding and practice of ballet technique. In a supportive and engaging environment, participants will refine their mastery of fundamental movements while exploring more complex combinations and exercises. Decoding Ballet is the perfect option for a dancer looking for development beyond our Absolute Beginner Workshop, or as supplement to our Basic Beginner and Beginner level weekly open classes.⁠

Decoding Ballet will build upon knowledge of core exercises. Proper alignment, postural placement, and coordination will remain key areas of focus, along with a more detailed exploration of ballet terminology and classroom etiquette.⁠

As a progressive series, consistent attendance is essential, with each session building on the last. Registration is required, and participants may not miss more than 25% of the classes to ensure continuity and growth throughout the workshop.⁠
