Did you know the Nissan GT-R earned the nickname “Godzilla” after completely dominating Australian touring car racing in the early 1990s?

When the R32 Skyline GT-R showed up at Bathurst with its twin-turbo RB26 engine and advanced all-wheel drive system, it crushed the competition and even pushed organizers to rethink the rules.

Australian media dubbed it “Godzilla” because it was a Japanese monster that came in and destroyed everything in its path.

The name stuck through the R33, R34, and even the modern R35, despite the Skyline badge being dropped.

Do you think the original R32 is the true Godzilla, or does the R35 deserve the crown?

What are your thoughts? 🤔💭
