Hyundai Motor and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) announce the extension of their longstanding partnership through 2037. Founded in 2015, this collaboration represents the largest programmatic commitment from a corporate partner in LACMA’s history.

The next chapter of this partnership introduces two cornerstone initiatives. At its center is a new exhibition series under the title Hyundai Project. Beginning in 2028, LACMA will present a new biennial survey of an artist with significant ties to Los Angeles and the Pan-Pacific region.

With Hyundai Motor’s renewed support, the Art + Technology Lab will also enter a new biennial grant cycle beginning in 2026, with expanded programming such as symposiums and demo days that invite broader public engagement with the Lab’s evolving research and artistic inquiries.
