A 25-meter wooden heart has gone up in flames at Nikola-Lenivets Art Park, marking the end of Maslenitsa in spectacular fashion.⁣
Inspired by Maxim Gorky’s story ‘Old Izergil,’ the installation echoes the legend of Danko, who raised his flaming heart to guide his people out of darkness.⁣
As the structure burned, visitors left straw figures at its base, symbolically letting go of negativity before spring.⁣
