SOUND ON! 🔉 I am beyond thrilled and honored to be co-emceeing this year’s dancingclassroomsnyc Mad Hot Ball 2023!  Join me LIVE in New York City, Wednesday, April 26th, to support this amazing dance organization that changes the lives of public school children through social dance.

I have proudly been part of the Dancing Classrooms family since 2017 when I was a judge for the Colors of The Rainbow Competition for the elementary school match - I was a fan of the documentary film Mad Hot Ballroom that followed the journey of these dancing students and the transformation that this program had on these 5th graders, and here I was, a part of this incredible program!

It was transformational for ME - I saw these kids dancing, performing, and CHEERING on their teammates.  I saw their PARENTS cheering on their kids as if they were at their school basketball game versus a ballroom dance competition.  And I saw the pride that everyone in the room had for their work - the teaching artists, the students, the families, everyone.  And I was so honored to be there!  I was brought to tears over and over again!

Over the years, I have been a judge, a virtual guest during COVID, a supporter, and I’ve even grown to work with dancingclassroomsli

Today, I can’t explain what it means to me to be part of helping this program continue its mission - the #MadHotBall2023 is the annual fundraiser that helps make this program possible.  Join me in-person (tickets are still available) for a night of dancing, dining, and GIVING!
