"FEATURE FRIDAY"  

Our first feature is a former Ayr Centennials player who spent his 16 year old season with our Junior C Club

Drafted by the Flint Firebirds in the 9th round, 164th overall in the 2016 OHL Priority Selection .

Eric Uba , a native of Kitchener Ontario suited up for 40 Games during the 2016 - 17 PJHL season registering 28 G & 34 A for 62 PTS, 4th best on the team. 

Heading to the Ontario Junior Hockey League in the 2017-18 season, Uba would play 51 games split between the Wellington Dukes (39) & Oakville Blades (12) while also suiting up for 4 games with the OHL’s Firebirds 

Making the jump to the OHL in the 18-19 season Uba would dress in all but 1 regular season game collecting 19 G & 23 A for 43 PTS. 

In August 2019 the Flint Firebirds would trade Uba to the Guelph Storm in exchange for a 2020 Third Round Pick & a conditional 5th round pick in 2023 

Making the most of the opportunity he was given in Guelph in 63 games played (season cut short early) Uba would be just under a point per game with 29 G & 29 A for 58 Points. 

Looking to build on the success he had last season, Uba will be a big part of the Storm offence when the OHL season can get going
