Big John was such an big part of my life at georgetownuniversity and after I graduated. The man stood by his convictions and led by example. I relished every opportunity to learn, talk to and to get to know him. He told me “Son be a sponge and learn as much as you can.” I’m saddened by the news of his passing but want to celebrate the man who he is. Here are some kind words from people fortunate enough to either know him or play for him. To the Thompson family I’m here for you and will always be.
