As the daughter of Cuban and Venezuelan immigrant parents who rarely attended school events, Caroline grew up feeling unseen. As a mom, she swung the other way — volunteering nonstop, saying yes to everything, and trying to do what her parents couldn’t.

But the pressure, politics, gossip, and expectations started stealing her peace.
