now that j cole released the fall off, it's time to revisit this...

cole notably went on a long run of not doing features, but he seemingly broke that trend on his album KOD with an artist named k*ll edward

it later came out though that this was just an alter ego that cole used as a way to explore his 'inner turmoil' — and was named after his ex step father

to portray this the vocals were pitched down and distorted, and he used this vehicle as a feature on both friends and the cut off

cole has since become more open to the idea of doing features and even went on a crazy run himself of collaborating with other artists just a few years ago
