Meet Bocar Diagana ’26, a senior accounting major and political science minor from Edina, Minnesota, and captain of Trinity’s men’s track & field team.

On the track, Bocar leads by example, pushing himself and his teammates toward excellence while supported by a close-knit team and coaching staff.

“Being part of this team has taught me how to work collectively toward something bigger than myself,” he says. “It’s shown me the importance of leading by example and growing both on and off the track.”

One of Bocar’s favorite Trinity memories came during his freshman year, when the team won its first SCAC championship.

“Sharing that moment with my teammates was unforgettable,” he says. “It motivated us to keep raising the standard and working harder every season.”

As Trinity continues its new beginnings in the SAA, Bocar’s goals are ambitious. As a team, he hopes to capture the program’s first indoor and outdoor conference championships and see a strong Tiger presence on the national stage. Individually, he aims to reach the podium at nationals while also soaking in every moment of his final season.

Outside of athletics and academics, Bocar enjoys spending time with friends, playing cards, and watching TV. He also serves as chief of staff for the Student Government Association and president of the French club.

Whether on the track or around campus, Bocar’s impact is defined by dedication, humility, and a commitment to those around him.
