Adam Heffez recently located what may be the last two intact Jewish tombstones in Libya.

Jews lived in Libya for over 2,000 years. Today, the only intact graves belong to two Ashkenazi Jewish lieutenants who fought with the Allies in World War II and never even lived there.

Almost nothing remains of Libya’s once thriving Jewish community.
