A next step in our sustainability journey 🐣

We are proud to share the arrival of 13 chicks to our campus, Silkies and Easter Eggers, marking an exciting milestone in hands on, student driven environmental learning. From the first tiny cracks in their eggs to watching them grow stronger each day, this experience has been truly meaningful for our students.

This initiative reaches every division. Lower School students are building empathy and responsibility through observation and gentle care. Middle School students are stepping into leadership roles managing daily care, egg collection, and coop maintenance. High School students are connecting sustainable agriculture, biology, and systems thinking to real world impact.

Our student built chicken coop, made possible through a Youth Climate Action Fund grant, now stands proudly in our Sustainability Garden as a symbol of leadership, stewardship, and experiential learning.

Soon, organic farm fresh eggs will be shared with our community through weekly sales, sustaining the program and reinvesting in future sustainability efforts. A full circle model of learning, caring, and giving back.

Sustainability at North Broward continues to grow, and this is just the beginning🌱
