The property at 505 North Main St. near downtown Greenville has been given the all-clear by city officials to be redeveloped. The old shopping center used to be the home to several businesses, including what many called the "Baby Bi-Lo" grocery store, because of its size.

Once the grocery store closed its operations in 2013, many of the other businesses followed, leaving 90% of the building abandoned by 2021.

According to City of Greenville councilman John DeWorken, plans to redevelop the space have been in the works for years, and finally, the city believes it's found the best fit.
