In a statement obtained by The Shade Room, BBC has issued an apology after broadcasting the moment #JohnDavidson, an award attendee and man with Tourette Syndrome blurted the n-word as #MichaelBJordan and #DelroyLindo presented BAFTA’s first award of the night. The organization addresses the incident and says the moment will be removed from BBC iPlayer.

The show reportedly aired two hours after being filmed. Producers have also been accused of censoring winner #AkinolaDaviesJr’s speech where he says he ended with the words, “free Palestine.” The Shade Room asked BBC, why that moment was reportedly cut but not the n-word moment.
