If you want to get into Medical or PA school these days admissions committees are looking for clinical experience first and foremost! The healthcare system can be a brutal place to work so it makes sense to do a little trial run before you launch into a lifetime of working with patients. 

Becoming a medical assistant (MA) is a great place to get started because you get to work directly with a physician or PA who could ultimately write you a letter of recommendation!
