Yesterday was surreal. After 11 months of planning with my incredible business partner sherminthebooth, chicagomusicnexus came to life beyond our wildest dreams. Seeing 150+ of you fill Loft Lucia with your energy and eagerness to learn was overwhelming in the best way possible.

To everyone who traveled from California, Ohio, DC, Philly, Detroit, Jersey, New York, Texas and beyond - and of course our incredible Chicago homies - thank you for believing in our vision. Your presence proved what we knew in our hearts: our community needed this space.

This wouldn’t have been possible without:

• Our superhuman photographer/videographer capturing every magical moment

• Our graphic designer/video editor who’s been with us since day one

• The AV crew who blew us away with their execution

• Our incredible panelists who shared wisdom and connected with everyone

• Our friends and family who kept the event flowing seamlessly

• Our amazing spouses working tirelessly behind the scenes

• Our caterer who brought both incredible food and vibes

• The legendary bartending team (who made Malort taste delicious with their signature cocktails!)

Most importantly, thank you to each attendee who put their trust in us. You are the reason we did this, and you are the reason we’ll do it again. This is just the beginning - Chicago Music Nexus will be back because this community deserves it.
