Here’s the #1 sign I knew I was maturing as an adult and creative — I became open to feedback. 

When I was a 22-year-old news reporter, you couldn’t tell me NOTHIN. I wasn’t hearing it.

Now, I actively seek critiques from people who are smarter than me. 

Here’s the test for knowing if the feedback is valuable:

1. Is this person doing better than me?
2. Do they have my best interest at heart?

If yes to both, be open to what they have to say.
