Being a good doctor means having compassion for your patients as you try to get to the bottom of what is going on. It means collaborating with nurses, social workers, pharmacists, techs, and all other healthcare personnel with humility.  . Being a good doctor means actively pursuing your passion for learning, respecting and advancing science and discovery, and seeking to understand the human mind. Having difficult conversations with patients about their conditions, maintaining empathy without judgment. and understanding that patients’ experiences, although they may be different, are equally as valid as your own.  . Being a doctor means constantly striving to do good, and be better. Identifying and actively fighting against your own biases to offer each patient the highest standard of care. You push for equity, and act as an advocate for those who don’t have as strong a voice or as solid of an understanding of what is going on.  . Being a good doctor means constantly innovating and seeking out ways to improve yourself in order to be the best person you can be to best serve your patients.  . Being a doctor means making difficult decisions, and involves sacrifice. It means knowing the line between patient care, and self-care.
