It blows my mind that in this day and age we are still fighting for reproductive rights and autonomy over our own bodies.  . Anybody in medicine knows that pregancy is not a benign condition and maternal mortality is no joke, particularly for black women in this country.  . Not to mention the psychological impact on BOTH a mother being forced to risk her life to have a child she’s not ready for AND a child being born into a potentially unsafe situation.  .
