Fans will have to ✨”enjoy the yearn”✨ just a little longer: ‘Heated Rivalry’ is eyeing a spring 2027 comeback.

Creator Jacob Tierney and executive producer Brendan Brady appeared on CBS Mornings with Gayle King, where they confirmed that Season 2 is currently being written and is set to begin filming in August. 

King revealed the show is expected to return in April 2027. “There will be more ‘Heated Rivalry’ on your TVs, like, truly, as soon as humanly possible,” Tierney said, while Brady teased that the wait is part of the experience, encouraging fans to “enjoy the yearn.”

The duo also spoke about partnering with Canadian streamer Crave, praising the platform for trusting both the creative team and the built-in audience of Rachel Reid’s bestselling novel, which the series adapts. 

Tierney described the show as a “very faithful adaptation” of the Canadian source material.
