TEAMMATE SPOTLIGHT: John Falzon, Director, Manufacturing & Materials Testing Innovation 

John joined underarmour 6 and 1/2 years ago and works in the Lighthouse and Proving Grounds at Under Armour Headquarters in Baltimore, MD. Below, he shares how #UnderArmour is approaching #innovation with regards to #sustainability, and how we ensure our company values are at the forefront of everything we do. 

“Under Armour is fearless in bringing forward truly revolutionary products to serve our athletes. You can see this in the DNA of so many of our new products, like our Flow footwear where we’ve eliminated the need for an outsole while still delivering exceptional traction and durability. 

We are developing the materials, processes, and tools that allow our entire product team to create performance-driven solutions across our entire range of products. By incorporating our value of ‘Acting Sustainably’ at the front-end of our process, we’ve laid the groundwork for the entire enterprise to do the same. 

We say that sustainability and performance go hand in hand – an example of that is our work to reduce fiber shedding. By working to reduce shedding, we are furthering our values while making a more durable, higher-performing product.”
