## Caption

Some of PennDOT’s license plate readers are struggling to read the new “Let Freedom Ring” license plates in Pennsylvania, confusing zeroes with eights. Some residents have reported being erroneously billed via “pay by plate” toll booths as a result.

A PennDOT spokesperson says the readers will adapt over time.
