kariooquendo spoke about his recruitment with prehmmr 
“I never visited Oregon before, so once I went to Oregon on my visit, I pretty much knew that is where I wanted to go,” said Oquendo. “The relationships were already there. I just needed to see it.”
“They said they like how I can get downhill, be a leader on the court, get the energy up, and be someone who we can go to for points and leadership,” said Oquendo.
“This summer, I just want to fine-tune my skills, get my 3-point shot more consistent,” said Oquendo. “I know I can shoot. My shot is a lot better than the percentages show, so its working on taking the right threes at the right time. That’s a big thing for me.” via (prehmmr)
